Stop Violence are working for a safer community where you live.
A community without violence, where racism and fears meet knowledge and healthy attitudes. Only this way, we can create inclusive and vibrant communities.

Local Voluntary work is the core in the Norwegian Red Cross. Stop Violence is therefore organized with a volunteer committee apparatus in the districts. As today, nine districts have their own Stop Violence committee. The committees will help to lift up local needs and challenges, and provide knowledge and experience to the local communities. This is a contribution to knowledge and active violence prevention.

To achieve a safe community we must have broad and complex strategies. Strategies based on local needs, and developed in cooperation with others who work locally. Stop Violence has developed measures aimed at both youth and adults. Measures that range from night patrols for evenings and nights, to project dialogue and consciousness raising work.
